I love using this time of year to look back and reflect. Some of us tend to skip this part and go head-strong into the new year with the same resolution and plan as last year. But, it’s important to take some time to reflect on what went well, and what didn’t, this past year so that we can learn from it!
Personally, I’m looking back on 2022 to reflect on all areas of my life, including this blog. It’s important to me that I continue to grow and learn better ways to help you all. Decluttering your home is another popular topic on Practigal Blog as it is a HUGE help in simplifying your life. A decluttered home means you spend less time, money and space on keeping up with all of your stuff. Therefore, you have more time, money and space for the things that are most important to you!
In this post, I walk you through exactly how to declutter any area of your home. But first, I share with you the many reasons why you should declutter your home. Time-management isn’t as common of a topic on a simplify your life blog, so I was thrilled to find out how well received this post ended up being!

I loved writing this post, and I even included a fun little quiz to help you determine if you might be a minimalist (and to what extent). Many people have preconceived notions about what it means to be a minimalist that may not be correct.
So in this post, I talked about what a minimalist really is and why you might already be one. Not only that, I explained why someone would even want to be a minimalist in the first place! I walk you through what minimalism can do for you and how to determine if this lifestyle is right for you. There are so many signs to look for that point to whether or not you should live more minimally. Find out what they are!
To me, minimalism and simple living go hand-in-hand, so that’s why I write about minimalism a lot for a “simplify your life” blog. Hopefully now you can see the connection and maybe even see the ways that you are more of a minimalist than you may have realized!

Can you believe it?! My post on how to pack light was #1 on the list of top 10 blog posts that will simplify your life! This post was actually a way for me to show you another amazing benefit of having a capsule wardrobe, so clearly capsules win on Practigal Blog this year!
In this post, I show you how to pack smart with only the essentials. And actually, I list items that are probably essential and the types of items you should just leave at home. I also explain why having a capsule wardrobe makes packing light even easier. When your clothes already easily mix-and-match, it’s easy to pack quickly and minimally. I even show you what I actually brought on a 10-day trip so that you can see a small capsule in action!
